Werkraum是一支来自德国的新民谣乐队，成立已有十余载之久。乐团起初并不是新民谣的风格，主要成员Axel Frank最初并未受过民谣的熏陶，他是伴随着实验以及后工业氛围成长起来的，之后又尝试了许多东西，最终形成了今天的风格。Werkraum于2004年在Cold Spring发行他们的第一张军事/新古典作品后，Axel从2005年开始参与Sturmpercht的弦乐和笛子的演奏，也参与了一些优秀的作品的作曲，Axel也受到了Sturmpercht的影响和感染，也爱上了60年代末70年代初的迷幻前卫民谣。在2005年末Werkraum发行了他们的首张民谣迷你专辑《Kristalle》，受到广泛的认可和世界各国的乐迷的好评。Werkraum在新民谣中的风格虽然并非独一无二，仿佛会说话的吉它和委婉的提琴，再加上忧郁而有磁性的男声，优美的旋律却是总是能令人难忘。这是他们今年发行的新专辑《Early love music》，精致的封面很有文艺复兴的感觉，歌曲首首优美耐听。这不仅仅是一张民谣唱片，也是新世代民谣的一个巨大突破和超级里程碑。前卫和迷幻的民谣与英国和德国早期传统血脉的民谣混合。部分作品就好象在60年代中期的黑暗Britanny森林里自杀的Jackson C.Frank或Shawn Phillips的作品。复杂的编排和大量不同的乐器让人们想起那些大型弦乐乐队和早期的酸性民谣团体
