Seasons in the Sun歌曲歌词:
Adieu, Emile, my trusted friend
We’ve known each other since we were nine or ten
Together we climbed hills and trees
Learned of love and A B Cs
Skinned our hearts and skinned our knees
Adieu, Emile, it’s hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Now that the Spring is in the air
Pretty girls are ev’rywhere
Think of me and I’ll be there
We had joy We had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the hills we would climb
Were just seasons out of time
Adieu, Papa, please pray for me
I was the black sheep of the family
You tried to teach me right from wrong
Too much wine and too much song
Wonder how I got along
Adieu, Papa, it’s hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Now that the Spring is in the air
Little children ev’rywhere
When you see them, I’ll be there
We had joy We had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the wine and the song
Like the seasons have all gone
Adieu, Francoise, my trusted wife
Without you I’d have had a lonely life
You cheated lots of times but then
I forgave you in the end
Though your lover was my friend
Adieu, Francoise, it’s hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Now that the spring is in the air
With your lovers ev’rywhere
Just be careful, I’ll be there
All our lives we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the stars we could reach
Were just starfish on the beach
Adieu, Emile
Adieu, Papa
Adieu, Francoise
We had joy We had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the wine and the song
Like the seasons have all gone
All our lives, we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the stars we could reach
Were just starfish on the beach

The Kingston Trio简介:
The Kingston Trio is an American folk and pop music group that helped launch the folk revival of the late 1950s to late 1960s. From its origin as a San Francisco Bay Area nightclub act through its rise to international popularity fueled by their unprecedented sales of 33 1/3 rpm long-playing record albums, The Kingston Trio helped to alter the direction of popular music in the U.S.
The Kingston Trio was one of the most prominent folk music groups of the era’s relatively short-lived pop-folk boom that their success helped to create. Beginning with their first album released in 1958 (which included the hit recording of &Tom Dooley& that sold over three million copies as a single),the Trio released nineteen albums that made Billboard’s Top 100, fourteen of which ranked in the top 10, and five of which hit the number 1 spot. Four albums charted during the same week among the Top 10 selling albums in December 1959, a record unmatched for nearly 50 years, and the group still ranks after half a century in the all time top ten of many of Billboard’s charts, including those for most weeks with a #1 album (46 weeks for a #6 ranking), most total weeks charting an album (1262 weeks for a #10 ranking), most #1 albums (5 for a #10 ranking),most consecutive #1 albums (4 for a #7 ranking), and most top ten albums (14 for a #9 ranking).
As significantly, the &phenomenal popularity& and massive record sales of the Kingston Trio in its early days made acoustic folk music commercially viable, paving the way for singer-songwriter, folk rock, and Americana artists who followed in their wake.
